I think it's a great idea and it makes the most sense to make conference registration allowable on a T-card. I'm very excited about this change.

And I think it sounds fine for conference registration to still be allowable on the P-Card as long as there is no lodging included. There are more people in our unit with access to a P-card than T-card, so those people will still have an option for most conference registrations. I wouldn't think this would cause too much confusion, at least not much more than any changes cause.

I agree with Ms. Price comment on 4/28/16. When you make a flight of lodging reservation for a conference. The traveler also need to pay for the conference. Having to go to another person within your office to pay for the conference is confusing and a waste of time.

The ability to purchase conference registrations that include lodging and not having to prepare an Exception Request form, waiting days for approval (which are always approved), will save time and money. However, I think it's confusing if conference registrations can be purchased using both the T-Card and the P-Card, depending upon whether lodging is included or not. Could conference registration that does not include lodging be purchased as well with a T-Card? (Conference registrations I purchase are always for travel.)

I agree with the comments of Jamie Price regarding conference registration being allowed on the T-Card and as a restricted purchase on the P-Card. Let's allow conference registrations on the T-Card only. Having the option for using the P-Card for registrations that do not include lodging will only confuse the cardholder.

It would be extremely helpful if we returned to having only 1 procurement card. I do not see a benefit to having 2 other than to cause confusion and errors, ultimately wasting time and money. I appreciate that the conference registration fee is being allowed on the t-card but at the same time you have it still being allowed on the p-card under restricted purchases. Again, this will ultimately cause confusion, similar to the food supplies purchasing policy.

It would be helpful to add conference registration added to the University T-Card purchases since it tends follow that we are usually making travel arrangements and paying conference registration at the same time.

I'm relieved that there is a proposed recourse for situations wherein a conference registration MUST include all costs for the event including lodging. Having the T-Card be allowed under these circumstances will be helpful.

It would be helpful to learn whether CopyrightClearanceCenter AKA Rightslink is a usable resource for paying publication charges with a P-Card. My current understanding is that using this resource is precluded by policy, but I don't know whether my information is old.

Removing the ability for p-card to pay for tuition fees ( I assume for outside classes/trainings) will be a hindrance to staff who are asked to attend trainings or classes at outside institutions to better their job performance or increase their knowledge base. Asking staff to pay for a class in order to register, sometimes months in advance to hold their spot, and then not allowing reimbursement until after the class has passed, creates an unfair financial burden on staff, that we do not place on faculty.
