Will the items on inventory be dropped from banner that are $500-$1000 so they will not appear on our inventory list?

I believe raising the threshold is a good idea and I vote yes.

I believe that since this threshold increase will greatly reduce the number items requiring P-tag, the resource time spent on inventory will also be reduced, saving the departments and the unversity money, (if the spare time is used wisely).

Does the department still have the option of tagging items like laptops and ipads, adding to its inventory? These items may well likely be under $1,000 but we want to have the option of tagging.  In the past, the Library has had to tag hundreds of student chairs along with hundreds of tables and study carrels. These items are stationery from year-to-year. We tend to me more concerned with the smaller items that we can link directly to a faculty or staff member who may request it.

How will this affect furniture or is it just for "equipment"? Specifically the requirement for affidavits on furniture items costing over $500?
