Professor Robin Fretwell Wilson, a family law expert, recently assisted the Utah state legislature on a series of bills, including one that expands family adoption subsidies and the adoption market. She testified over Zoom on February 8, where she explained the technical aspects of the bill. Wilson also co-presented with Senator Chris Wilson at the Utah House Government Operations Committee on Bill 154 Adoption Amendments on February 27.

Wilson said, "As an adopted child, working on adoption policy has been a passion for me and it was a privilege to assist Senator Wilson on a bill that encourages adoption."

Earlier this month, Wilson was also honored by the Utah State Senate for her many contributions to policy in Utah related to human rights, non-discrimination, and adoption.
