Professor Jacob Sherkow's co-authored article "The Antibody Patent Paradox" (Yale Law Journal) was quoted on p. 2 of the recent Supreme Court opinion Amgen Inc. v. Sanofi. The case is about whether patents must enable others to make and use the "full scope" of the invention, or something less than that. Sherkow says it is significant for complex technologies, like antibodies in this case, and his article helped set the standard for why this technology is complicated and why it's troublesome for patent law.
