Professor Colleen Murphy has agreed to serve a new term as Director of the Women and Gender in Global Perspectives Program. This new five-year appointment will begin August 16, 2021, after a sabbatical leave. In the next academic year, Murphy will also be chairing Global and Its Worlds thematic program sponsored by the Illinois Global Institute and Humanities Research Institute. Murphy is a scholar of transitional justice and author of the award-winning The Conceptual Foundations of Transitional Justice (Cambridge, 2017).
