On Constitution Day in 2021, the College of Law hosted a symposium (sponsored by the Program in Constitutional Theory, History and Law) on Akhil Reed Amar's book, The Words that Made Us: America's Constitutional Conversation, 1760-1840. Essays from the symposium have been collected into a single volume and published by Constitutional Commentary. The collection contains five essays from the symposium, including work from Illinois Professor Jason Mazzone and a response by Akhil Amar, as well as two book reviews.
The collection is free to read and available online.
