Professor Robin Wilson authored an op-ed that first appeared on October 14, 2016 on PennLive.
Excerpt:
If you believe in protecting space for everyone to live true to who they are and to what's core to them, the path we are on should trouble you.
We can do better.
As the people of Pennsylvania debate nondiscrimination protections and other fundamental rights, those rights shouldn't be seen as a zero-sum game.
The way things have unfolded elsewhere doesn't have to be how it plays out here.
We can move forward and reach agreement on legislation that works for everyone. If we don't, we risk perpetuating a culture war between faith and sexuality. In that war, no one wins.
Far better to find middle ground.
