The founder and director of the Intellectual Property Clinic, Professor Joseph Barich, was recently named one of the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign's top faculty members. Barich was honored as a specialized faculty member with the Campus Award for Excellence in Undergraduate Teaching. The award recognizes his sustained excellence and innovation in undergraduate teaching and contributions to undergraduate learning beyond classroom instruction.
In addition to his work at the College of Law, Barich has done excellent work in The Grainger College of Engineering. In addition to teaching an Engineering Law course, he has developed and taught courses such as Startups: Incorporation, Funding, Contracts, and Intellectual Property, which have been highly regarded.
