Illinois Law graduates Christopher Massie '16 and Jeremy Mandell '17 were recently named as winners of the Tax Analysts student writing competition.
According to the competition guidelines, submitted papers must be between 2,500 and 12,000 words and focus on an unsettled question in federal, international, or U.S. state tax law or policy. Entries are blindly evaluated by an editorial staff primarily on the basis of: originality, readability, organization, reasoning, and overall quality of content.
Both of the winning papers will be published in Tax Notes, and Massie and Mandell will receive complimentary digital subscriptions to Tax Notes, State Tax Notes, and Tax Notes International.
