A piece of legislation begin debated in Utah would make fees associated with adoption transparent, provides assistance to mothers who might be interested in adoption, and grows the adoption marketplace, all of which would make the process of adoption much better for all parties, according to Professor Robin Fretwell Wilson. Writing in the Deseret News, Wilson makes the case for the proposed legislation on personal grounds, as an adopted child herself. "Utah’s bill would go a long way toward giving children...security. It should be signed into law and serve as a template for adoption policy across the nation," she writes.
