On September 6, 2017, the College of Law celebrated the investiture of Richard L. Kaplan as the Guy Raymond Jones Chair in Law. Professor Kaplan spoke about his work and discussed the difficulties of tax reform and health care reform. The formal ceremony was followed by a reception in the Peer and Sarah Pedersen Pavilion.
The Guy Raymond Jones Chair in Law is made possible through a generous estate gift from the late Mildred Van Voorhis Jones (Class of 1929). Ms. Jones provided the gift to the College of Law to honor her father, Guy Raymond Jones (Class of 1902). Law Professor William J. Davey also holds the title as the Guy Raymond Jones Chair Emeritus.
