WalletHub recently published an article on 2017's Greenest Cities in America. According to the site, in order to select the most environmentally friendly cities, WalletHub’s analysts compared the 100 largest cities across 22 key "green" indicators, and they also relied on expert insight from a panel of researchers. Each expert offered advice on the ways and benefits of reducing our carbon footprint.
Professor Arden Rowell is one of 12 environmental experts that was consulted for the article.
"Cities should try to promote healthy, productive environments for their citizens. They should try to conserve resources and construct cityscapes that people want to live in, now and in the future. In many cases, they can do all of these things by drawing on research on how to improve the environment," said Rowell.
