Two University of Illinois College of Law alumni have had their papers published in the prominent tax journal, Tax Notes. Both were students in Professor Richard Kaplan's Tax Policy Seminar. 

Yue “Daisy” Dai (Class of 2016; now a professor at Shanghai University of Finance and Economics) published Make the Wrongdoers Pay for the Wrongful Act, 157 Tax Notes 415 (Oct. 16, 2017). 

Jeremy A. Mandell (Class of 2017; now an attorney with Kirkland & Ellis), published The Carried Interest Controversy, 156 Tax Notes 1591 (Sept. 18, 2017).
