The College of Law celebrated the Class of 2018 at its convocation ceremony at Krannert Center for the Performing Arts on Saturday, May 12th.
Dean Vikram Amar began the celebration with a welcome and opening remarks.
Pia Hunter delivered remarks on behalf of the JD Class of 2018 and Daria Shapira spoke on behalf of the LLM Class of 2018. Professors Richard Kaplan and Andrew Leipold were recognized as Outstanding College of Law Faculty Members for the Class of 2018.
The Honorable Diane P. Wood, Chief Judge of the United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit, delivered the convocation address.
The degree candidates were presented and hooded by faculty members Rummana Alam, Eric Johnson, and Andrew Leipold.
Alumna Emily Fitzgerald '11, president of the Law Alumni Board, delivered brief remarks welcoming the new graduates into the alumni family, and encouraging them to stay connected to their alma mater.
A celebratory reception at the College of Law immediately followed the ceremony.
