Professor Suja Thomas, an expert on juries, federal courts, and civil procedure, was a featured panelist at a July 19th Cato Institute event, "Plea Bargaining: Good Policy or Good Riddance?"
Panelists discussed the pros and cons of plea bargaining, and its overall effect on the criminal justic system. Thomas was joined on the panel by the Honorable Joseph R. Goodwin, U.S. District Judge for the Southern District of West Virginia; and Scott H. Greenfield, Attorney and Counselor at Law, New York City. The panel was moderated by Clark Neily, Vice President for Criminal Justice, Cato Institute.
