Professor Colleen Murphy will serve as a panelist at a roundtable discussion on Teaching Transitional Justice. The panel will take place on November 2, and is hosted by the American Society of International Law. Participants will discuss how the specific classroom context within which they teach transitional justice shapes the ways in which they teach it as well as the content of the course(s), challenges and/or unexpected opportunities they have faced while teaching transitional justice, and best practices for teaching transitional justice in varied contexts.
The discussion will also consider how the personal and professional backgrounds of teachers of transitional justice shapes the ways in which they teach it. Finally, the discussion will offer an opportunity for current and recent students of transitional justice to share their experiences on how they were taught transitional justice.
