The Law Library will close for the semester on Friday, December 21, at 5 p.m.
Following the December 21 closure, the Law Library's physical collections and study areas will be unavailable to patrons until late April or early May of 2019, due to a major construction project.
The Reference Desk will reopen on Monday, January 7, 2019, at 9 a.m., in Room 101A of the Law Building, in the Career Planning & Professional Development suite adjacent to the Peabody Drive door. The Reference Desk will be open 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 1 p.m. to 5 p.m., Monday-Thursday; 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. on Friday; and 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday. The Reference Desk will not be open on Saturday. The Reference Desk will also be available by email at firstname.lastname@example.org and by phone at (217) 244-0614.
The Circulation Desk will reopen on Sunday, January 13, 2019, at 1 p.m., in Room 080 of the Law Building, which is the College of Law's former bookstore space on the Basement level. The Circulation Desk will be open 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday-Friday, and 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday. The Circulation Desk will not be open on Saturday. The Circulation Desk will be available by phone at (217) 333-2915.
Due to the first phase of the construction, items from the Law Library's collection will not be available for request / retrieval, as part of the Circulation Desk's services, until late January or early February of 2019. During this period, materials may be requested from other libraries through I-Share and Interlibrary Loan by visiting https://www.library.illinois.edu/interlibrary-loan.
