Class of 2009 graduate Kate Imp was recently featured in Variety's 2019 Legal Impact Report. Imp joined DLA Piper last November from Greenberg Traurig, where she served as production counsel for more than 150 film and television productions. Since coming on board, she has worked on high-profile matters, including the Disney production services agreement for the Fox Studios lot, toymaker Lego’s television and film licensing agreements and Raven Capital Management’s purchase of assets from bankrupt Open Road Films. She also advises app companies and brands, including Match Group, Tinder and PlentyOfFish on talent- and guild-related issues for their short-form branded content.
