The College of Law celebrated the Class of 2019 at its convocation ceremony at Krannert Center for the Performing Arts on Saturday, May 11th.
Dean Vikram Amar began the celebration with a welcome and opening remarks.
Anthony Santella delivered remarks on behalf of the JD Class of 2019 and Pilar Quinoa spoke on behalf of the LLM Class of 2019. Professors Amitai Aviram and Andrew Leipold were recognized as Outstanding College of Law Faculty Members for the Class of 2019.
Michael Osanloo, CEO of Portillo's Hot Dogs and a 1991 graduate of the College of Law, delivered the convocation address.
The degree candidates were presented and hooded by faculty members Sean Anderson, Eric Johnson, and Richard Kaplan.
Alumnus Theodore Hadley '84, president of the Law Alumni Board, delivered brief remarks welcoming the new graduates into the alumni family, and encouraging them to stay connected to their alma mater.
A celebratory reception at the College of Law immediately followed the ceremony.
