Nine faculty and staff members from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign have been chosen to participate in the Big Ten Academic Alliance’s development programs. Professor Verity Winship is one of five faculty members chosen for the Academic Leadership Program.
The Academic Leadership Program (ALP) consists of a set of three seminars that provides in-depth managerial and general leadership skills to outstanding faculty members from Big Ten universities. Since 1989, this program has worked to improve administration systems across major research institutions, and many former fellows have gone on to become college deans, presidents, and provosts.
