Earlier this year, the College of Law established our With Illinois Donor Spotlight series to showcase the variety of ways our alumni give back. The featured donor for the month of January is Prabha Parameswaran ’93.
Prabha is Senior Counsel/Manager, Accenture Legal, Contracting North America. She has been a faithful supporter of the College of Law Annual Fund since graduation and took a leadership role in establishing a Class of 1993 Current Use Scholarship in honor of her 25th class reunion. Prabha has also thought long-term about her philanthropy by including the College of Law in her estate planning.
“With the backing of my husband and daughter (Illini by birth!), I support the College of Law financially because I was fortunate enough to attend debt free. My academic and social experiences at the College of Law were so important in helping me develop both professionally and personally,” she said.
Prabha credits the College with providing her the avenues and tools that have shaped her career and her network – from learning the importance of maintaining and developing relationships (thanks to none other than Peer Pedersen), to being able to navigate a complex corporate transactional role at international fortune 100 company Accenture.
“My/our hope is that the contributions we have made, and will make, will help the University of Illinois College of Law enable an incoming student to be free to take full advantage of all that the College of Law and its amazingly talented faculty and alumni have to offer and to be able to work anywhere they may choose without the fear or stress of post-law school financial strain.”
We thank Prabha and all of our alumni who provide the support necessary to maintain our commitment to innovation, affordability, and accessibility. Learn more about the College of Law’s priorities and the With Illinois campaign.
