Professor Jennifer Pahre will present a paper at the American Political Science Association's 2020 Teaching and Learning Conference on Sunday, February 9. The conference focuses on promoting the scholarship of teaching and learning, equipping faculty with new techniques and resources for teaching, and enhancing the role of teaching in the discipline of political science. Pahre's paper, "Experiential Learning: Justice System Officials as Co-educators," discusses how she created partnerships with justice system professionals to develop an experiential class about the criminal justice system. The class brings students to courthouses to meet with judges, prosecutors, public defenders, and others affiliated with the criminal justice system so that the students can learn directly from those people.
