Ralph Brubaker was awarded the John C. Cribbet Excellence in Teaching Award, an honor awarded every three years to a faculty member designated as “an outstanding teacher within the field of law.” This award is the greatest mark of teaching excellence that the College of Law can bestow.

The award, established in 1997 through a gift from State Farm Mutual Insurance Company, is in honor of John Cribbet, who served the University of Illinois for more than 40 years as a Professor of Law, Dean of the College of Law, and as Chancellor of the Urbana-Champaign campus.

Brubaker joins the distinguished company of previous recipients: Charles Tabb, Jennifer Robbennolt, John Colombo, Andy Leipold, Richard Kaplan, and Kit Kinports.
