Professor Michael LeRoy was quoted in an ABA Journal article on the impact of COVID-19 on the gig economy, and specifically, the way dancers are classified as employees.
According to LeRoy and a study he conducted in 2017, “In thirty-eight cases, courts ruled that dancers were employees; only three courts ruled that dancers were independent contractors.”
