Professor Suja Thomas was a recent guest speaker for the University of Illinois Alumni Association Speaker Series. She spoke about her comedically-driven documentary film that features six characters who were denied their right to a jury trial. She also discussed why few people get jury trials and why even innocent people will plead guilty.
