The University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign will serve as the host institution for 15 Bolashak International Scholarship recipients during the 2023-2024 academic year. The 9-month program will be designed, developed, and managed by Global Education and Training (GET) and the Intensive English Institute (IEI) in Illinois International. This is the third consecutive year that GET and IEI have hosted a customized program for visiting Bolashak scholars from Kazakhstan.
The Bolashak International Scholarship program at Illinois includes individual study and research to develop an understanding of the innovations and trends in higher education, teaching and learning technologies. Specifically, the fellows will audit university courses, participate in conferences and seminars, and research collaboration through the University Library System. Fellows are also provided opportunities to network and engage with university leaders and experts in the areas of pedagogical innovation, research, curriculum development, instructional design, and online teaching and learning.
“We are thrilled to welcome a new cohort of Bolashak fellows to the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign,” said Dr. Matt Rosenstein, GET director. “Each fellow brings their own unique perspectives and expertise to our campus, making our institution a more vibrant and diverse place to study and work.”
