Have you ever wanted to offer your support to a marginalized community, but don’t know how? Want to be an ally, but don’t know what to do? The GSWA executive board, the campus Counseling Center, the School of Social Work, and the LGBT Resource Center have partnered up to do an LGBT Ally Training! It is important that social workers, specifically, are culturally competent and able to work with all communities; especially those who have been historically oppressed.
This workshop will be help held Friday, March 9th from 1pm-4pm at the school of social work. We hope that you will be able to come learn more about how to support the LGBT community at work and in your personal life. Below I have attached the flyer for this event.
