April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month and we want to work with YOU to end sexual violence. Our 2018 theme of “Speak. Act. Change” was built collaboratively across campus and community partners, declaring that to truly end violence and abuse we must speak and act, in order to create change.
Because everyone deserves to live in a world without violence, we all have a unique role in challenging sexual assault. It is estimated that 1 in 4 or 1 in 5 college women, and 1 in 16 male college students will experience a completed or attempted sexual assault.
This month, take action — attend a rally, workshop, or training — and let’s talk about how we can support survivors and help end sexual violence. We have a host of events planned to support survivors, build healthy relationship skills, and encourage bystanders to intervene in what remains a local, national, and international social problem.
