The Human Library is an event where individuals volunteer to be ‘books’ and share their stories with others. These individuals often have identities that are marginalized, stigmatized, or stereotyped. Examples of some of these identities can be found on our website: http://humanlibrarycu.org/meet-our-books/. We’ve gotten great feedback from the community as well as the volunteers, and hope to include more students at future events.
The event itself will be during the Pygmalion Festival on Thursday, September 27th in the lobby of the Krannert Center for Performing Arts. It will run from 5:30-9pm.
