Development work continues, including the following activities:
- Planning for content migration
- Preparing functionality for search, tagging, and node referencing
- Finalizing high-level content and preparing tertiary and lower level pages
- Entering content and testing design components
- Finalizing design in light of new campus branding
- Planning for usability testing
Our Intranet Working Group has decided to use a temporary website hosted by Amazon Web Services. The plan is to have the structure and initial version ready by December 1; thereafter, it will be released to faculty and staff. Content will continue to be updated throughout the spring semester. After the temporary system has been finalized, the group will look into a long-term intranet solution.
The Web Leadership Team's work with Pixo ends on November 30. We are exploring a customized support contract in the next year that will provide Drupal 8 training, emergency support, bug fixes, and site enhancements prior to and after launch.
The exact rollout date for our new site will be determined after a period of final review, testing, and refinements by the Web Leadership Team.
