While in Maine recently, I found this Pileated Woodpecker nest containing two large fledglings. After spending over two hours waiting for the parents to come feed them, I was able to get shots of the father feeding the chicks. However, the father fed over 80% of the food to the larger male chick, leaving the smaller female to vent her frustrations on her brother and dad.
