  • Smarter Lunchroom Success: South Elgin High School

    Smarter Lunchrooms in Action

    ABCs of School Nutrition staff have been working with South Elgin High School in South Elgin to integrate Smarter Lunchroom principles. In the 2016-2017 school year, they implemented 20 additional practices from their previous assessment, including:

    • Displaying multiple fruits in decorative fruit baskets
    • Promoting reimbursable combo meals
    • Promoting school meals outside of the lunchroom
