The American Association for Italian Studies awarded Eleonora Stoppino and her book Genealogies of Fiction: Women Warriors and the Dynastic Imagination in the Orlando furioso one of two 2012 Book Prizes for best books in Italian studies published in 2012. Professor Stoppino is an Associated Professor of Spanish, Italian, and Portuguese as well as a member of the 2013–14 IPRH Advisory Committee.
