Undergraduate Hourly: IT Hourly Support
The Prairie Research Institute, a multi-disciplinary research institute at the University of Illinois, is seeking a motivated, resourceful and tech-savvy undergraduate student to join our Computing and Data Services team.
The employee will work directly with the Computing and Data Services team to sterilize hard drives, prepare various types of equipment for surplus and other duties as assigned. Some knowledge of Windows 10/11 desktops and Microsoft Office applications is a plus.
The successful candidate will be paid $14/hour and will be expected to work up to 12-20 hours per week during standard business hours (M-F, 8 am to 5 pm) during the Fall semester and Spring semester. Summer break will allow for 20-40 hours per week. Scheduling is otherwise flexible and will accommodate the student’s class schedule and U of I holidays/breaks. This position will cover several departments on campus, so travel between buildings is required. All are on the bus line.
