This is an hourly position available to an undergraduate student at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
Location: Natural Resources Building, 607 E Peabody Dr, Champaign, IL 61820
Job Description: Assist in databasing insect collections at the Illinois Natural History Survey.
Qualifications: Coursework in entomology, biology, data science, or accounting preferred, but not required. Experience with spreadsheets, databases, word processing, and computer applications are a must. Should be able to handle fragile insect specimens regularly without breaking them. Candidate should be highly detail-oriented and be able to notice small mistakes even when doing repetitive tasks.
Wage: $10 per hour up to 20 hours per week
Benefits: No medical or leave benefits associated with this position.
Available: September 30th, 2019, until December 31, 2019. This position may be transferred to other grant funding next semester if performance is satisfactory.
