Damarco B. Harrell, 20, of Rantoul, Illinois, was arrested at 1:23 a.m. Wednesday in the 1700 block of South Lincoln Avenue, Urbana, for illegal possession of a controlled substance and on three Champaign County warrants for failure to appear in court. Police initially approached the vehicle as part of a separate investigation and smelled a strong odor of cannabis. Upon searching the vehicle, officers found cannabis and MDMA pills. Harrell also had a BB gun in the waistband of his pants.
