At 10:28 p.m. Sunday, a U. of I. housing security guard reported that someone had painted graffiti on a sidewalk outside of Hopkins Hall, 1208 S. First St., Champaign. It is not known when the damage occurred, and there was no information available on an estimated cost to remove the paint.
At 1:40 a.m. Monday, a U. of I. employee reported that someone had broken a window at Everitt Laboratory, 1406 W. Green St., Urbana. It is not known when the damage occurred. The estimated cost to replace the window is $500.
A U. of I. student reported that his vehicle had been stolen around 8:05 p.m. Friday from U. of I. parking lot E-38, next to the Activities and Recreation Center, 201 E. Peabody Drive, Champaign. The student’s jacket, car keys, cellphone and wallet were also stolen after they were left unattended while he was playing basketball inside the facility. The vehicle has an estimated value of $2,500, and the other items have a total value of $1,020. After the theft, the student’s debit card was used without permission at a restaurant in Urbana.
