A U. of I. employee reported that someone had damaged a bathroom stall door between 6:30 a.m. and 11 p.m. Tuesday at Altgeld Hall, 1409 W. Green St., Urbana. The estimated cost to repair the door is $50.
A U. of I. student reported that her bicycle had been stolen between April 8 and Tuesday outside her apartment at 700 S. Gregory St., Urbana. The bicycle, which has an estimated value of $575, was locked to a rack.
A security employee at the Illini Union Bookstore, 809 S. Wright St., Champaign, reported that someone had stolen 17 lab coats and a package of paper on Saturday. The offender initially attempted to purchase the items, but her credit card was declined. She said she would return later with payment, and the store held the items for her at the customer service desk. She returned later to pick up the order and did not offer payment. A store employee gave her the items without knowing that they had not been paid for. The order has a retail value of $432.82.
A U. of I. employee reported that someone had put sugar in her vehicle’s gas tank between 7:55 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Thursday while it was parked in U. of I. lot F-23, 1101 W. Florida Ave., Urbana. The estimated cost to repair the vehicle is $1,000.
