Kasey M. Hollis, 29, of Danville, Illinois, was arrested at 3:09 p.m. Friday in the 1800 block of North Cunningham Avenue, Urbana, for aggravated battery. Police initially were called at 10:30 p.m. Aug. 7 by a U. of I. student who reported that she was walking in the 100 block of South Goodwin Avenue, Urbana, when she was approached from behind by a man who grabbed her pants around the knee area and pulled on them. The man immediately ran away. Investigators used security cameras to identify the suspect’s vehicle and entered that information into an automated license plate reader system. On Friday afternoon, the system alerted police that the vehicle was in Urbana. An officer traveled to that location and found Hollis riding as a passenger. He told police he was involved in the Aug. 7 incident but that it was a prank.
