A U. of I. student reported that his bicycle had been stolen between March 6 and Thursday near Bousfield Hall, 1214 S. First St., Champaign. The bicycle, which has an estimated value of $300, was locked to a rack.
At 8:35 a.m. Thursday at Everitt Laboratory, 1406 W. Green St., Urbana, Gertrude K. Tshinguta, 45, no address provided, was issued a state of Illinois notice to appear in court for trespassing on state-supported property. Police initially were called by Everitt staff who wanted Tshinguta escorted from the building. Officers were aware that Tshinguta previously had been issued a no-trespassing notice for all U. of I. property.
A U. of I. student reported that her car’s catalytic converter had been stolen between Feb. 27 and Friday from U. of I. parking lot F-23, 1101 W. Florida Ave., Urbana. An estimated cost to repair the vehicle was not available.
A U. of I. student reported that she was the victim of public indecency at 1:08 p.m. Friday at Krannert Center for the Performing Arts, 500 S. Goodwin Ave., Urbana. The student said a man entered a women’s restroom, lowered his pants and touched his genitals in an obscene manner. The student and the man left the restroom and walked in opposite directions.
