At 5:05 p.m. Friday near Goodwin Avenue and Nevada Street, Urbana, U. of I. student Joshua R. Gray, 29, of Champaign, was issued a state of Illinois notice to appear in court for unlawful storage of weapons. The notice was the result of an investigation into Gray’s conduct at the Chez Veterans Center, 908 W. Nevada St., Urbana. Earlier in the day, a judge issued a Firearms Restraining Order along with a search warrant for Gray’s residence. Detectives found a semi-automatic handgun along with ammunition.
At 5 p.m. Sunday at his residence in the 900 block of South First Street, Champaign, U. of I. student Caleb W. Foster-Coburn, 21, was issued city of Champaign notices to appear in court for hosting a nuisance party, endangering public health and reckless conduct. Foster-Coburn received the citations after further investigation into an Aug. 28 party at his apartment.
Theodis White, 66, of Champaign, was arrested at 9:49 p.m. Friday near University Avenue and Market Street, Champaign, on a Champaign County warrant for failure to appear in court. A police officer recognized White and was aware of the warrant.
Khristian M. Williams, 28, no address provided, was arrested at 4:54 p.m. Saturday near Third Street and Springfield Avenue, Champaign, on a Champaign County warrant for harassment and making threats. A police officer recognized Williams and was aware of the warrant.
