Devonte J. Moore, 25, no address provided, was arrested at 1:44 p.m. Monday near Stoughton Street and Mathews Avenue, Urbana, for aggravated battery. A man reported that he asked Moore, who was smoking a cigarette, to move away from the entrance to the Digital Computer Laboratory, 1304 W. Springfield Ave., Urbana. Moore became agitated at the request and struck the man’s arm hard enough to cause the man to drop his cellphone.
