A U. of I. employee reported that someone had thrown rocks through a window to an outdoor restroom facility between Tuesday and Thursday at Atkins Golf Club, 2600 S. Stone Creek Blvd., Urbana. The estimated cost to repair the window is $1,500.
A U. of I. student reported that his headphones had been stolen around 6 p.m. Thursday at Campus Recreation Center East, 1102 W. Gregory Drive, Urbana. The headphones, which have an estimated value of $150, were left unattended in a locker room.
Patrick R. Matthews, 25, of Champaign, was arrested at 11:58 a.m. Saturday in the 400 block of East White Street, Champaign, for driving with a suspended license and on an Iroquois County, Illinois, warrant for failure to appear in court. Police initially stopped Matthews’ vehicle because he was using a cellphone while driving.
of I. student Kevon D. Davenport, 20, of Savoy, Illinois, was arrested at 12:56 a.m. Sunday near Fourth Street and Kirby Avenue, Champaign, for driving under the influence of alcohol. A passerby called police upon seeing Davenport asleep in the driver’s seat of a vehicle stopped in a traffic lane.A U. of I. Student Patrol officer reported that someone had broken the sideview mirror off a Student Patrol vehicle between 9 p.m. Sunday and 1:45 a.m. Monday while it was parked in the 1000 block of West Springfield Avenue, Urbana. An estimated repair cost was not available.
