At 3:30 a.m. Thursday in the 1000 block of Hazelwood Drive, Urbana, Maishia A. Brown, 37, of Champaign, was issued a state of Illinois notice to appear in court related to a Champaign County warrant for a probation violation. Police initially stopped to check on Brown, who was lying in the snow. Police took her home after issuing the notice.
A U. of I. student reported that her car’s catalytic converter had been stolen between Jan. 17 and Tuesday while it was parked at U. of I. parking lot F-22, 1108 Hazelwood Drive, Urbana. The estimated cost to repair the vehicle is $1,847.
A U. of I. student reported that her vehicle’s rear license plate had been stolen overnight Monday or Tuesday at U. of I. parking lot E-14, 1702 S. First St., Champaign. The cost to replace the license plate is $26.
