At 3:50 p.m. on Dec. 29 at the corner of Goodwin and Springfield avenues, Urbana, Michael Guarnacci, 41, of Champaign, was issued a state of Illinois notice to appear in court for possession of a controlled substance. A passerby believed Guarnacci to be highly intoxicated and alerted police. Guarnacci also was issued a no-trespass order for the U. of I. campus.
A U. of I. student reported Friday that his bicycle was stolen from Talbot Laboratory, 104 S. Wright St., Urbana. The bicycle was locked to a rack.
Juan Tamayo, 30, of Champaign, was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol at 1:30 a.m. Friday near the corner of Main and Walnut streets, Champaign. Officers stopped Tamayo’s vehicle after it was observed driving the wrong way on a one-way street.
A U. of I. student reported Monday that his bicycle was stolen from Taft-Van Doren Hall, 1215 S. 4th St., Champaign, between Dec. 17 and Monday. The bicycle, which was locked to a rack, was valued at $400.
