    A U. of I. student reported that his bicycle had been stolen around 1 p.m. Saturday at Snyder Hall, 206 E. Peabody Drive, Champaign. The bicycle, which has an estimated value of $400, was locked to a rack.

    Gregory Kilpatrick, 26, of Urbana, was arrested at 11:19 p.m. Saturday near Mathews Avenue and Green Street, Urbana, on a Champaign County warrant for failure to appear in court. Kilpatrick was a passenger in a vehicle that initially was stopped because police suspected that one of its occupants was involved in a domestic battery reported minutes earlier by a Student Patrol officer.

    It was reported that a U. of I. student had received multiple unwanted text messages and phone calls from a person with whom the student previously had been in a dating relationship. Police contacted the offender and told him to cease communication or he could be arrested.

    At 11:43 a.m. Thursday at Snyder Hall, 206 E. Peabody Drive, Champaign, U. of I. student Ruby H. Schneider, 21, of Champaign, was issued a state of Illinois notice to appear in court for theft. Schneider was identified as the person who stole a digital watch from the Snyder Hall lost and found and sold it online for $200.

    A U. of I. student reported that his bicycle had been stolen between 2-3 p.m. Thursday from the Thomas M. Siebel Center for Computer Science, 201 N. Goodwin Ave., Urbana. The bicycle, which has an estimated value of $1,000, was locked to a rack

    At 1:28 p.m. Monday at the U. of I. Public Safety Building, 1110 W. Springfield Ave., Urbana, U. of I. student Jaya N. Thomas, 20, of Urbana, was issued a state of Illinois notice to appear in court for theft. Thomas was identified as the person who stole a $150 streaming television device sometime before Nov. 7 from a storage room at Bevier Hall, 905 S. Goodwin Ave., Urbana. Thomas had access to the storage room because she was employed at Bevier Hall.

    At 5:53 p.m. Monday, it was reported that someone had drawn a swastika on a wall inside a men’s restroom at the English Building, 608 S. Wright St., Urbana. It is not known when the damage occurred.

    A U. of I. student reported that cash had been stolen from her wallet between 3-6 p.m. Saturday at Weston Hall, 204 E. Peabody Drive, Champaign. The wallet was on the student’s desk in her residence hall room. The room was left unoccupied and unlocked once or twice during that time period. 

    It was reported that someone had been sexually assaulted early Sunday morning at a private certified housing facility.

    At 3:40 p.m. Friday at the U. of I. Public Safety Building, 1110 W. Springfield Ave., Urbana, U. of I. student Janithza G. Guevara, 18, of Urbana, was issued a state of Illinois notice to appear in court for theft. Guevara was identified as the person who used another student’s debit card without that student’s knowledge to purchase a $56.05 bus ticket.

    Carl D. Stewart, 58, no address provided, was arrested at 4:10 p.m. Wednesday at Armory Avenue and Wright Street, Champaign, for trespassing on state-supported property. Police initially were called by a staff member who saw Stewart at the Illini Union, 1401 W. Green St., Urbana, and was aware that he previously had been issued a no-trespassing notice for U. of I. property.

    A U. of I. student reported that her $220 shoes had been stolen between 9:30-11:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Activities and Recreation Center, 201 E. Peabody Drive, Champaign. The shoes were left unattended outside of a locker.

    A U. of I. employee reported Wednesday that a university-owned laptop computer had been stolen in February in Chicago. The computer has an estimated value of $1,462.

    A U. of I. employee reported that a vent hood motor had been stolen between Nov. 16-19 from Burrill Hall, 407 S. Goodwin Ave., Urbana. The motor, which has an estimated value of $650, was left in a public hallway.

    A U. of I. employee reported on Nov. 18 that she had been contacted repeatedly by a former student during the past year. Police instructed the former student to stop contacting the employee.

    At 11:02 p.m. Monday at the Undergraduate Library, 1402 W. Gregory Drive, Urbana, U. of I. student Pranav V. Tantravahi, 18, of Urbana, was issued a state of Illinois notice to appear in court for retail theft. Tantravahi was identified as the person who stole a $8.71 identification card holder at about 2 p.m. Monday from the Illini Union Bookstore, 809 S. Wright St., Champaign.
