Arzelle D. Chapple, 26, of Champaign, was arrested at 2:51 a.m. Wednesday near Green Street and Mathews Avenue, Urbana, on a Fountain County, Indiana, warrant for possession of marijuana. Police initially stopped Chapple’s vehicle because he disobeyed a red light.
At 12:12 a.m. Wednesday, a resident adviser at Saunders Hall, 902 W. College Court, Urbana, reported that someone had used a marker to draw a swastika on a bathroom wall. The estimated cost to remove the graffiti is $200. Officers gave the resident adviser contact information for University Police social workers to provide to any residents who felt threatened by the graffiti.
