A U. of I. student reported that her bicycle had been stolen around 3 p.m. Monday at the Natural History Building, 1301 W. Green St., Urbana. The bicycle, which has an estimated value of $500, was locked to a rack.
A U. of I. student reported that his car had been stolen between 4:30 p.m. Sunday and 7:40 a.m. Monday from a parking garage at an apartment complex in the 700 block of South Gregory Street, Urbana. The car, which has an estimated value of $5,000, was locked, with a spare key hidden inside.
Jonetta S. Ward, 32, of Champaign, was arrested at 1:52 a.m. Monday near Race and High streets, Urbana, for fleeing from police, disobeying a red light and driving with a revoked license. Police initially attempted to stop Ward because she drove through a red light at Sixth and Green streets, Champaign. Ward accelerated and did not stop. The vehicle was located a short time later in a parking lot several blocks away, and police found Ward hiding nearby.
