At 5:35 p.m. Monday, it was reported that a U. of I. student’s cellphone was stolen from her purse after it was left unattended on the grass in front of the English Building, 608 S. Wright St., Urbana. The purse and its contents were untouched. The cellphone, which was valued at $1,000, was later tracked to Shorewood, Illinois, where it was retrieved by the Shorewood Police Department and held for safekeeping until the victim can retrieve it.
