There are a few important dates that mark adoption of brand standards across the university. You will be required to do the following:
10/12: Replace the column-I with Block-I
- on your website and for digital materials
- for all newly created printed materials. NOTE: You do not have to replace existing stocks of column I printed materials you have on hand. You are able to use these beyond 10/12 until these run out. This is a cost-savings measure.
Beginning 10/1: Submit unit wordmark request
- CCOs submit the online unit wordmark request form they will receive by email.
- Supporting materials on this site, brand.illinois.edu, will help guide you in filling out that request
- There is no due date to filing this request. It will become available 10/1
12/1: Unit wordmarks provided to all major units
- Upon receiving your request, Creative Services will produce your unit wordmarks
- Unit wordmarks for all major units will be provided, beginning with CCO units
- The queue to completion will be based upon strategic priority
1/1: Use new unit wordmark on all newly created materials
- All units are expected to begin using their unit wordmarks in all newly created materials by January 1st 2018 moving forward.
- To reduce costs, you may still use existing materials until they run out, beyond January 1st.
- For the web, there is no additional requirement at this time. You may use your unit wordmark if you choose, however there will be a separate componenet of the Illinois identity for web design standards to follow.
